Meet Our Practitioners
Functional Medicine Practitioner
Sarah Rodewald, NP-C
Sarah was born and raised around Dayton, Ohio. She graduated from WSU with her BSN and practiced as an RN at Miami Valley Hospital for seven years. While working there she realized that she wanted to help people be able to avoid getting these debilitating and chronic conditions. During the family nurse practitioner program at Cedarville University, she learned about functional medicine and realized that treating symptoms was still not going to be enough to help people achieve real and lasting health. After graduating she started working at Western Medicine and during that time she was supported to certify in functional medicine through IFM and started incorporating those principles into her family practice care. As this part of her care with patients grew, it became clear that 15 minute visits weren’t enough to address the whole person, mind, body, and spirit. Through collaboration with her employer, they started Dayton Center for Functional Medicine which she ran for 2 years before taking over the business and changing the name to Partnered Healing Functional Medicine. Sarah is passionate about helping people come back to the root of who they are as a complete person which involves supporting their physical, mental, and emotional well being.
Sarah has two boys and their favorite things to do together are discovering new parks, putting together Lego and puzzles, and wrestling. If Sarah’s not working you’ll find her out in nature hiking or kayaking, or fixing up her old farmhouse.
Chiropractor, Functional Medicine Practitioner, & Emotion Code Practitioner
Brent Zoller DC, CFMP, CECP
Dr. Zoller is the owner of Infinity Chiropractic and Nutrition and co-owner of Turning Point Health and Wellness. Dr. Zoller grew up in Fairfield, Ohio, just north of Cincinnati. Dr. Zoller was introduced to chiropractic at the early age of 8. After suffering a back injury while playing soccer and having no relief with traditional medical care, his parents took him to a chiropractor. Within a few adjustments, he was back to playing the sport he loves. Trips to the chiropractor became a normal thing for Dr. Zoller. Whether he was sick or trying to recover from another soccer injury, chiropractic care always seemed to help.
Dr. Zoller went to Wright State University for his undergraduate studies and played soccer for the Raiders. He made a tough choice to forgo his last year of eligibility and applied to Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. He completed his studies and graduated in 2008 from Palmer. For the next 8 years, Dr. Zoller held two associate positions, one with Family Tree Chiropractic and one with Everybody’s Health. Dr. Zoller opened and ran two successful practices for Everybody’s Health before ultimately purchasing one of those practices in October 2016 which is now Infinity Chiropractic and Nutrition.
Dr. Zoller has a deep passion for helping people. He treats anyone who has a spine, from infants to the elderly. We all live our lives through our nervous system and Dr. Zoller strives to restore any interference in that system through chiropractic care and nutrition. Dr. Zoller is also a certified Functional Medicine practitioner. He uses functional lab testing as well as muscle testing to help many of his patients not only get to the root cause of their condition, but also to find the solution. Dr. Zoller is also certified in the Emotion Code to help reduce emotional toxicities that may be impeding one's health.
Dr. Zoller is married to his wife, Abbie. They have three children; Ellie, Caroline, and Samuel. They also have rescued two dogs named Harley and Penny. When Dr. Zoller is not spending time with his family or researching, he is working out or watching soccer. Dr. Zoller is a big fan of the US Men’s National Soccer Team, German Men’s National Soccer Team, and Manchester United.
Traditional Naturopathic Doctor
Danielle Hofer, ND, NTP
Dr. Hofer is a traditional naturopathic doctor that believes the modern landscape of health is changing, and the prevalence of chronic health issues like diabetes, heart disease, PCOS, and thyroid problems continues to rise, often met with limited solutions within traditional medicine. It's no longer just about fatigue or body pains; a spectrum of challenges like autoimmune conditions, leaky gut, digestive distress, hormonal imbalances, and mental well-being are emerging, signaling a deeper concern. Traditional medicine, while pivotal, frequently falls short in addressing the underlying triggers of these issues. Symptom alleviation is a common approach, but it's time to go further, to uncover the roots.
Danielle is a Hoosier transplant to Ohio, married to a retired USAF veteran, and homeschools her three children. She has 8 chickens (more on the way!), two Great Danes, and one cat. She is the owner and facilitator of The Wilderness of Wellness, an exclusive community for women who love Jesus and wish to live life abundantly, not held back by their body’s size nor symptoms. And when she’s not in front of patients, you can find her lifting heavy weights, running, hiking, backpacking, fly fishing, kayaking, volunteering at church, and probably laughing loudly.
Functional Nurse Practitioner
Alexis Carver, FNP
Alexis Carver was born and raised in Dayton, Ohio and received her undergrad as well as her master’s degrees from Wright State University. She is a board-certified family nurse practitioner dedicated and passionate about finding the root cause of disease using in-depth testing while partnering with patients to strategize the best treatment plan that facilitates individual healing. Her approach to practice integrates listening to each patient’s needs and desires as well as assessing the physical body and incorporating a patient-centered holistic approach to health and wellness. With over a decade of experience in healthcare, she was guided to discover a unique gap between symptom management and the treatment of disease itself. This motivated her intense pursuit for preventive medicine that used a wider lens to capture the person as a whole using body, mind and spirit to create optimal health.
Alexis combines her training in functional medicine with her nursing background to help patients make real, positive changes towards a happier and healthier life. She strives to embrace an integrative approach to healthcare, focusing on the interconnectedness of various aspects of a person’s life and health by promoting wellness, preventing illness, and facilitating healing. Her personal interests include spending time with her three children and husband, being outdoors, hiking, kayaking, and supporting her kids’ extracurricular activities. She also enjoys the perpetual quest for knowledge in the ever-evolving world of functional medicine.
